On Earth Day 2018, a group of seven adventurous women and myself entered the Bornean Jungles of Kalimantan by Klotok (Indonesian traditional boat). After eighteen hours of flying, several random “taxi” rides where we were sure our drivers would have head-on collisions with the thousands of scooters on the roads, and five hours into the jungle by boat, we arrived at the famous research site at Camp Leakey and the Orangutan Care Center and Quarantine Facility, which houses over 330 orangutan orphans. Our six-day Shamanic, Animal Communication Retreat with the orangutans held many magical moments, but one of them still gives me chills today.
It was day three of the journey and after twenty minutes of walking through the jungle, we arrived at an orangutan feeding platform. These platforms are designed to supplement both wild and rehabilitated orangutans with food, as many of the rehabilitated orangutans are not the best at foraging for themselves. Also, with the extreme loss of habitat due to the palm oil plantations, their territory is continually shrinking and their food sources are dwindling.
We always got to the platforms early, and sat quietly among the cicadas, tarantulas, and fireflies as we watched the local Bornean workers of Camp Leakey, all members of the once feared, shrunken-head creating Dayak Tribe, walk the various fruits, vegetables, and coconut milk containers to the platform.
The tribesman would howl through the jungle as they walked, re-creating the orangutan calls. As they howled, you began to see the trees in the distance start to sway. You would’ve thought you were in Jurassic park, sitting in a foreign place, watching and listening to large rustling bushes in the distance, waiting for a mighty beast to appear from the depths of the jungle.
And then the shy, curious orangutans would appear. Crawling down from the trees and onto the platform, grabbing onto as many bananas and sweet potatoes as they could. Many of the female orangutans had their tiny babies clinging to them. It was an adorable site to behold as more and more of these majestic creatures entered the platform. Most of the males that you would see were young and smaller in stature, as the large dominant male of each territory, with his giant cheek flaps and large belly, fought away any potentially threatening males.
Our group were the only ones left at the platform when we noticed a rather large, very timid orangutan started to approach from the distance. This one seemed different. It even felt different in its’ vibration. It would pensively move from tree to tree, stopping to stare deeply at us, then move to closer. I could hear the Dayak people beginning to chatter with our guide in the background. They kept pointing at this curious being, and seemed very surprised that he was there. Finally, our guide, Husni, slowly walked over to me and whispered “This is a wild male, he’s not used to human contact and has never been to the platform before”.
Oh my! What a gift. A majority of the Orangutans that came for daily feedings were rehabilitated ones. They were used to human contact. Often times wild orangutans are so shy and solitary that you would never even know that one was near you. They stay away and keep to themselves.
Much to our surprise, the wild male ambled over to the tree near our group and climbed so that he was directly above us! He then made eye contact with me and began to send information:
Wild Male Orangutan: “Hello, I came today to facilitate a brain activation with your group. Could you please allow my vibration to channel through you.”
Me: Umm,…. WOW! Thank you, I would be very honored to assist with this. Thank you so much for coming to be with us. I truly honor your presence and your assistance.
WMO: “I heard your call to us many months ago. I showed up in your dreams, knowing that you would be coming soon. We have been anticipating the arrival of your group”
Me: {about to cry} What do you need me to do?
WMO: “Stand in front of each of your beings, place your fingers on their temples and occiputs, and open your mind to mine”

I can’t really tell you what the activation was, or did. But I knew it held ancient origins and had to do with the Barathary Gland.
An excerpt from Destee.com “The Barathary Gland Is A Gland That Was Originally Inside Of The Cavity Of The Hippocampus Area Of The Brain . In The Lower Part Of The Cerebellum . The Cerebellum Is Located At The Lower Part Of The Brain And Is Attached To The Brain Stem . It Was A Gland In The Brain That Was Originally Connected To The Appendix And The Tonsils . The Same Way The Pituitary Gland Connects To The Thyroid Gland .
The Barathary Gland Controlled The Four Highter Senses That You Once Had . They Are
( 1 . Telepathy - The Ability To Communicate Messages Or Thoughts From The Mind Without Using Verbal Speech
( 2 . Intuition - The Ability To Know What Is About To Happen Before It Happens
( 3 . Clairvoyance - The Ability To See Clear . Know What Is Going On In Another Place Or Room Without Seeing The Events With Your Two Physical Eyes
( 4 . Psychometry - The Ability To Be AbleTo Tell Something About A Person By Holding And Object That Belonged To That Person.”
So there you have it. I always hold space for the Earth and Animal Kingdoms to impart their divine wisdom upon us. They truly do hold magic and this is just one of the many examples of the beauty, activations, and majesty which presents itself during the sacred journeys that I lead.
If you would like to join me on an upcoming journey, I am leading trips to Sedona in August of 2019 and South Africa in December of 2019. You can learn more at innervisioninstitute.com/retreats
